Loving myself more, creating more art, being an active blogger, be fit, do my best in every way I can—all of these are just some of my new years resolutions. But on top of that, making my very own bullet journal is one of the things I highly look forward to this year 2018. To be honest, when I visited a bookstore once, I saw countless beautiful 2018 planners displayed. The problem is, it costs above P500 ($10) which for a student budget is very expensive. I'm glad I was able to found out about bullet journal and how convenient and flexible it was for everyone.

This 2018, I'm really holding on to that idea of completing my very first bullet journal. Since I was new to this kind of hobby, I had to give credit to the bullet journalists who inspired my bullet journal and I added a few of my personal touches to it. Credits to AmandaRachLee and Jenny Journals for being such an inspiration of making my own.

By the way, if you're interested with the notebook I used, it is the Limelight Sketchbook. It is in A5 size, 80 gsm, and only costs P199. It's a lot cheaper when compared to other notebooks like Moleskine and Leuchtturm. It's decent and markers don't bleed much through the paper which is great. Just don't use watercolor because it will wrinkle the page easily. I got this notebook from the Stationary section in SM Department Store but I assume it's also available in most National Book Store Branches.

Here's a short flipthrough of my bullet journal setup. I hope you like it.

2018 At a Glance
This page shows an overview of the whole 2018.
I chose a Silver and Gold theme and added plant doodles to fill in the spaces. For the calendar, I decided to print it out on a cardboard just to avoid mistakes when I did it myself. I used a Micron 03, Pilot Gtec in 0.3, Uni Pin in 08 and Miniso Acrylic Painters for the silver and gold accents.

Key
This page holds the symbols and their meanings that I'm going to use throughout this journal which works like a legend.

Quote of my Year
In this page, I chose a quote that will greatly represent, define or envision what my 2018 would look like. I chose this quote by Cristen Rogers. This really spoke to me in a different kind of way and serves as a reminder what I really am plus it's a great thing to read in times that I feel sad or down.

Again, I did print this out on a board paper because I prefer that typewriter font for this quote. It adds up to the aesthetic of this page. I also added a crumpled newsprint paper to add a bit of style and design to the background.

Future Log
Future log is where you will list all the future events on the year like birthdays or holidays or just events that you are looking forward to.

2018 Goals & Memory Bank
These are pretty self-explanatory. The goals page is basically where I will be putting all the goals I want to reach this year. I know it's pretty blank at the moment but I am yet to fill that out soon enough! Memory Bank is a page dedicated for the most unforgettable moments of the year. I could either narrate or add pictures on this page.

Blog Post Ideas & Instagram Growth Tracker
This page serves as my brain dump for blog post ideas. So whenever I thought of an idea or concept on my blog, then I would most likely write in down on this page just so I have notes whenever I ran out of blog post ideas!

The Instagram growth tracker page, again, is pretty self-explanatory. This page tracks my followers every end of the month just so I could track the changes and what to do to engage more on Instagram.

I Want to Watch... & Books to Read
These pages are for me the most fun pages of the journal because these pages are dedicated to my hobbies. I would love to see them soon being filled out and check if I was able to read or watch them.

In the I Want to Watch page, I categorized the things I will watch these year into three—movies, animΓ©, and TV shows. On the other hand, the page beside it which is the Books to Read page are basically the books I plan to (hopefully) read this year. I think these pages are a great way to track all the things you watched and read throughout the year.

    1. It's never too late for bullet journals! The thing that I love so much about it is that you have the freedom to add your own style to it, make it super extra or minimal. Everything works with it. You don't have to know how to draw or be super artistic but you just need to enjoy in making it no matter how simple. I'm looking forward to your bullet journal! 😊

  2. Your bullet journal is so beautiful and original! I tried that bujo life for awhile and it didn't work for me (I'm not nearly as artistic as you!) but I'm always so jealous when I see beautiful setups like this one! Stick with it!
